Bliss Beach Lounge and Beach Bar is the newest cocktail bar and beach lounge in Caye Caulker. I am sure Bliss Beach is going to be the newest hotspot in Caye Caulker, so you better get there quickly.
On our last day in Caye Caulker we decided to bike to the north side of the island to explore. Little did I know I’d find a slice of heaven on earth. On the Split to Split ferry ride over, our driver mentioned to me that we needed to go to Bliss Beach. I nodded, and obliged.
I had no idea what a great surprise I was in for.
About Bliss Beach
Bliss Beach Lounge and Beach Bar is owned by a French family from Paris, Tristan and his parents. They moved to Belize about seven years ago and just opened the lounge and beach bar 10 days before our visit in early March 2024. Lucky me, one of the first guests.
Bliss Beach felt like it had been around a lot longer than that. The service and attention to detail was excellent. And it looked like some snow birds had already found their favorite hammocks and couches. I’m sure Bliss Beach will soon be a must-visit in Caye Caulker.
What’s so special about Bliss Beach
Bliss Beach is rightfully named. I felt like I had escaped Caye Caulker completely. I found myself on a secluded white sand beach with tall palm trees, pink conch shells, white king size beach beds, shaded lounge areas and hammocks floating over the crystal clear water. The inventive cocktail menu, cheese and charcuterie selection, soft electronic music and friendly hosts sealed the deal.
Tristan is the bartender, and he and his parents are running Caye Caulker’s newest hotspot together. Oh and don’t forget about their friendly dog. He’s tucked away in the shade at the bar, and will certainly make a positive impression.
At the center of this little slice of paradise sits the bar. Tristan has crafted a creative cocktail menu, aiming to mix local flavors and ingredients with some more traditional selections. Any of the drinks could easily be served at your finest bar in Paris, Amsterdam or New York. All served icy cold, perfect to quench the inevitable thirst from the bike ride over.
I could have stayed here all day. And I did, for most part.
What to drink at Bliss Beach
I enjoyed the French Martini for $12.50 and Mike had the classic Margarita for $11. Based on the prices for top shelf non-domestic liquor in Caye Caulker, these prices were right on par with any other bar.
We did not order any snacks, but the cheese platter the couple next to us enjoyed looked absolutely incredible. And they were raving after every bite.

How to get there from Caye Caulker
The Split to Split ferry runs from sunrise to 10pm and costs $5 USD roundtrip. The ride takes just one minute or less, and is the go-to-way to get to Bliss Beach and the north side of Caye Caulker. Alternatively, you can take the ferry directly to Bliss Beach. They are offering trips for $10 per person each way at the moment. You can just call and they’ll come back to get you when you’re ready.
If you choose to take the Split to Split ferry, follow the little signs, or the main road all the way to Bliss Beach. If you lose the signs that’s ok, just keep going north. Eventually you get to a man made canal wrapped in red bricks. Follow the bricks around the long side, spend some time crocodile spotting in the mangroves, and continue on the path. Yes, we did see a crocodile! You’ll end up at a little bike parking area and the entrance to Bliss Beach Lounge and Beach Bar.
Stay as long as you like, but remember if biking back the roads are not well lit. Bring a flashlight or a headlamp if that’s the case.
