Vinnies: Healthy Brunch in Amsterdam

Vinnies is permanently closed.

On the search for a healthy brunch in Amsterdam? Vinnies is a cozy little spot perfect for a healthy brunch, breakfast, lunch or coffee break in Amsterdam.

At Vinnie’s their motto is “simple, pure and healthy”. They make updated comfort food perfect for those days where you just don’t feel like cookin’.

They’ve got three locations, each with a slightly different menu. Hearty salads, light snacks, decadent desserts and classic brunch choices are written on the chalkboard overhead.

I opted for the Kale & mushroom frittata served with bread and a light herb salad. The frittata was on the drier side, but the salad dressing complimented it well. We also tried the Shakshuka, a classic Middle Eastern egg dish, and the seasonal fruit bowl. All the ingredients and produce are seasonal and locally grown whenever possible.

Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere is quaint and always changing. Fun fact! If you like a piece of furniture, feel free to make an offer. Every piece is for sale – the books, the piano, the tables, the chairs, all of it.

If you saved room, be sure to try one of their homemade cakes or pastries. They’ve got everything from decadent brownies to slightly healthier Carrot & walnut cake.

So, if you’re looking for a healthy brunch in Amsterdam, be sure to drop by Vinnies. They’re open every day but don’t take reservations and can be rather busy during peak hours. If you’re in a rush, you can always grab something quick to go or pick up a coffee for the road. They make a mean Dirty Chai.
